The voices of recovery focus on real stories and quotes from past clients. Each week a story or quote will be shared from a past client about their time and experience at Tabor Group across our social media and online channels.
On Thursday 14th September, we will gather for ‘Celebrating Women’s Recovery Care and Support Day’, dedicated to women in recovery. The aim of the day is to invite women in recovery together to share information, supports and strategies that can enhance their recovery. The day will include yoga sessions, meditation / mindfulness, speakers on mental health, sharing personal recovery experiences and explore strategies for maintaining recovery through both small and large group activities.
We will be launching our ‘Community Supports Directory’ on Monday 16th September 2024. Tabor Group’s Community Supports Directory is a valuable resource for individuals in recovery, offering comprehensive information on various support services in the area. This directory includes essential details on social supports, addiction supports, educational opportunities, mental health supports, sport and lots more. The directory is designed to empower those in recovery by connecting them with the tools and support networks necessary for a successful and sustained recovery journey.
On Thursday, 19th September 2024, we will celebrate the remarkable achievements of the graduates from our Continuing Care Programme with a ceremony in the Council Chamber at City Hall.
On Thursday 29th September, Tabor Group in partnership with UCC School of Applied Psychology will present ‘An evening with Brenda Dennehy’ hosted by RTE Journalist and Broadcaster, Brian O’Connell.

Tabor Group are delighted to be supporting the first-ever Regional Cork & Kerry Recovery Walk. The walk will begin at 12.00pm from St. Patrick’s Street, walking to Fitzgerald’s Park where a fun-filled Family Day will take place from 12pm – 4pm which will include Guest Speakers, Live Music and Children’s Entertainment. This is a free event but can register in advance here.
Alcohol Action Ireland are hosting an evening of music, singing and poetry with the Viva Voce Choir with Musical Director, Bernadette Kiely, and special guests, at the Aula Maxima in UCC from 7:30pm. Tickets are free of charge. For more information click here.
